We have recently upgraded to a new video camera. The new camera records video using HEVC/H.265 encoding. Unfortunately this format is encumbered with patent issues. We have therefore had to transcode this format into AV1 which is an open, license free format. The process implementing this has now been completed and a short 5 sec video should be shown in most browsers. We'll also for the time being display a still image as well. Video and still image are updated every 5 min during daytime, that is from 15 mins before sunup until 15 mins after sundown.
Weather as shown in my videos are always of interest to people, specially to those living in the surrounding area. I'm using weewx for displaying data and Froggit weatherstation for data gathering. Take a look here for the latest weather info.
